Original fishing attraction

12/2019

If you voluntarily let yourselves to be swallowed by a slightly larger fish, we will show you a unique attraction that was created in our architectural studio. In the future, it could attract lovers of fish specialties and families with children to the Prague recreation area, behind a pond used for breeding and selling fresh fish, to a fish bistro and perhaps even further...

We conceived the design as a three-storey gradual attraction, of which the aquatic environment, its inhabitants and fishing were the main motives. The attraction is primarily aimed at the age group 4-15 years and it is easily visible from the terrace of the bistro.
The very entrance to the attraction by its graphic design literally draws visitors into the aquatic environment, where interactive game elements await them (e.g., fish with rotating multicolored scales, fisherman with reel pulling fish from the water). Visitors walk to a footbridge leading into a 3D maze through an open fish mouth. This first part of the attraction is located at a height of 3.8 m above the ground and consists of houses and footbridges with various obstacles. Visitors can meet water Vermin (plastic wooden models of not very popular animals, which are often occur in forests and water), overcome Surfs or Swamp (a mixture of ropes, nets and wood inducing an atmosphere of impenetrable marshes and floodplain forests). The second part consists of classic rope obstacles in the free space (with the net securing the impact area). Visitors will be able to walk among the Lianas, cross the Net, jump over the Stones, weave their way through the school of Fish and also through the little Beams. There is the net entrance leading from the central platform of this part of attraction to the next floor, which is a net playground at a height of 6.5 m above the ground. 40m2 of free net area will offer the visitors a space for spontaneous play, jumping, chases and pleasant relaxation and rocking on the waves.
The study also suggests the creation of an open nature park with additional play features and relaxation zones in the space below and beside the attraction. It includes paths, a regulated stream with water play elements, sandboxes, balancing blocks, interactive boards, benches, waste bins and more.
